Death Of A Unicorn!! It’s Here!!

Good evening readers! I usually post in the morning, BUT I seen that the Death Of a A Unicorn has finally arrived. I don’t know about you but I prefer to watch a thriller or horror movie at night. Knowing that there was something waiting for me at te end of the day made the work day easier to grind, so let’s brew about it!

Popcorn freshly popped I nestled in and let the camera (tv) roll. I know that it was going to be a bit of a B movie, because who does a take on a killer unicorn? I don’t know, but it’s been a long time coming. The concept that unicorns can be deadly not innocent really peaked my interest. The is about a recently widowed father, Paul Rudd and his daughter, Jenna Ortega, who is trying to climb the work ladder and constantly puts his daughter’s opinions to the backseat. The employer and his family are very self absorbed and act like their “kindness” is a gift towards humanity.

It gets bloody real quick in the movie, but I love how the daughter discovers the “real” story about unicorns and that they were actually violent creatures if provoked and had healing properties if not a fountain of youth. There are more twists and turns to the story, but it is crazy to me how fast a living creature can be turned into test subject and bottled for money in a blink of an eye versus looking at it from a more humane point of view. What’s the motivation? Money and vitality, which ultimately at its core is greed. There is character development and jokes in between but all in all it’s a great watch.

As Always Keep On Brewin!
