Good morning readers! I hope all is well. The week is almost up, I really enjoyed watching and writing about The Death of a Unicorn, and I hope you did too!. But it seems another pagan holiday has come around the corner, Osteros was all about rebirth and renewal, but Beltane is for summer, let’s brew about it!
Now, I talked about Osteros and how it revolves around setting the intentions for rebirth(string over) and renewing or amending original intentions. Beltane is about abundance and fertility. Kind of how in spring things are just acting to”wake up i.e. plants, eggs are being incubated, but summer is when things are in full fiery force! It’s about sensuality, fertility, abundance and union.

In fact, one of the oldest traditions is weaving ribbons around a maypole. Why does this tradition have anything to do with fertility you might ask? Well the maypole represents masculine energy because its shaped like a phallus symbol while the ribbons are feminine energy. The act of the ribbons wrapping around the pole symbolizes the union of god and goddess.
Beltane is the 1st of May, which is this is coming Thursday! Things to do to celebrate Beltane is to decorate with flowers, lighting a bonfire, dancing, feasting, all done in abundance and shared with others! How will you celebrate Beltane?
As Always Keep On Brewin!
