Good morning readers, now I may be in the back yard, but I’m not getting into it about the garden too soon to show or say any progress. But with coffee in my hand my brain trailed off on all the goofy things I used to do as a kid. Not stepping on cracks, don’t walk under a ladder, and the ye ol’ “Bloody Mary” in the dark with your friends giggling behind you. But where did it come from? Let’s brew about it.
SO, why the mirror and Why Mary? Some the Bloody Mary part comes from Queen Mary I whom executed a LOT of people. but why do we call on her? What will she do for us other than scaring the shit out of yourself and your friends flinching at shadows. From what I gathered is that the only reason why it is assumed that it isQueen Mary I due to her extracurricular manslaughter activities. Whomever that is conjured up isn’t Queen Mary but rather an angry ghost, witch or ghoul, there isn’t any good to come of it, no granting of a command or wish and the being that’s suppose to come only does harm.

Now, the mirror, that has longer history, there used to be a ritual at night where a maiden is to walk upstairs backwards holding a hand mirror and a candle to light her way. Supposedly, you would see your future husband or future or if it goes badly you would see the reaper or darkness.
Either way though, it is nothing but a playful game played at a friend’s house or sleepover. But what are your thoughts? Have you heard of the origin? If you have leave a comment, I’d love to know!
