Good evening readers! It has not only been a day but a week. It has flown so fast, I can’t remember any day specifically. Other than I know I ate, I slept some and I definitely worked, my day job and quite a bit on BrewFeeds Social media on facebook. But I capped the work week off with a Christmas Parade here in town, Let’s brew about it!
The Plant City parade has been going on for 60 years! Which isn’t as long as the Strawberry Festival that’s held in Plant City but it was BEAUTIFUL in more ways than one. Historic downtown was decorated, the shop windows decked out. Lights and decorations, it felt like a Hallmark movie minus the no snow! In fact, it was warm but thankfully, it wasn’t humid tonight, which is a blessing.

The Jaycee’s whom, is the Junior Chamber of Commerce, started the parade but is now handled by 10 committee members, a panel that represents the local Plant City Police Department, and a few other panels as well. The Police Department bit made sense to me now after research, as there were motorcycle cops circling a green sports car in which case when they “drove” away the Grinch snuck out of the vehicle to mingle with the parade audience before racing back to his car to drive off. It was a very cute skit that the crowd adored. Beads and candy were tossed as well and more familiar Christmas characters flitted by, either by foot or float.

What I think made it the most magical though was watching the community come together and celebrate with one another with open hearts and joy, wishing one another Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Just the over all out pour of encouragement, love and excitement made it remarkable. Seeing a community get together with nothing but love, just fills my cup that I didn’t realize was a bit empty after this work week.
Though this week pushed me, I’ve learned a lot about engagement and lifting one another up because a community can make you shine bright working with and for one another can make dreams become goals and goals into fruition, which I will speak in more detail soon. For now, I will say this parade definitely gave reboot and I accept the challenges to come to bring this website into the light.
As Always Keep On Brewin!
