Good evening, readers! I’ve been MIA for a week, I’ve been under the weather and still working. Weak sauce excuse, I know but I didn’t want to drag myself into writing something half-assed and served cold to you. But I hope everyone is feeling better than me, and are warm and cozy during what I believe is the FASTEST month of the year. I never felt this way before until this year. However, Welcome To Derry comes to a close, as Stranger Things last season rev’s up, let’s brew about it!
Now one of my favorite character’s, Rich (SPOILER ALERT) gets merc’d, I LOVED Rich, he was funny, he was sweet and he kept the “band” together when everyone began losing their minds. Hallorann’s mental state was hemorrhaging, it seemed everyone from the group of kids to the adults were falling a part due to Pennywise’s influence. The closer everyone got to It the more it turned any and everyone against each other.

The story telling was ravenous, although CGI got a bit rough here and there, unless you’re looking for it you won’t necessarily catch it. But the build up was intense, I mean I don’t know about you what with the military involved I knew right from jump street they’d want to mechanize, Pennywise Towards the end, I practically hissed when they melted one of the meteorite shards, don’t mess with medicine you don’t understand. If you don’t know how to contain it immediately but and only know that it causes death and mayhem it’s not a good mix.
All in all it was a great show, and leaving it on a cliffhanger, saying this was Chapter One, feels like they left room for aq second season, if the ratings do well. What are you thoughts? Did you like Welcome To Derry? Do you feel they should have gone in a different direction? Was the show a little too gory or did you feel thaty had the right amount?
As Always Keep On Brewin!
