Outside, Getting Dirty, Literally!

Good evening readers! I can’t believe how fast the month of January is going! I[‘m excited about the coming adventures, not just The Jay and Silent bob Cruise Askew, but the annual Strawberry Festival and more. Although I am itching to start packing, I’m reveling on the mini adventures, let’s brew about it!

I finally found a place that had a kind of pot I was looking for. I’ve been imagining and sketching designs for a gothic-witch garden with a touch of romantic whimsy. I found some online but they were rather pricy ad I hate to have it shipped if it wasn’t what I needed for the Wisteria. So, I went and checked out Southern Hospitality and found more creative ideas than I care to say, but I picked up a rose terra-cotta pot.

So, what’s the big fucking deal with this pot and two Wisteria seedlings? I decided, to add a bit of moss and crystals, giving it an aged-witch vibe. I never done this and wasn’t sure how well it would work. I bought moss from Amazon and bought crystals from Raven’s Moon Diana Mystic of the Dark and some I found in my own collection.

It was so much fun to be outside creating, especially after being so sick in December. I feel it came out beautifully. Although after watering some of the crystals began to fall off. I used hot glue to apply both the moss and crystals. Very frustrating since it was an all day thing, video, changing spaces from patio to garage back to patio. But after doing some research i found a solution, E8000 glue, waterproof and works with ceramics, that will be my next step.

But what do you think? Should I add something else? Did I go too heavy with the moss? I definitely want to add ore crystals and trinkets, and yes more flowers.

Mini Adventure to BrownLee Garden Center

Good evening readers! It’s so good to feel normal other than this bloody cough, I’m so tired of cough drops. BUT I digress, I went on a mini adventure around the corner for a pot because the 2 Wisteria seedlings I planted are getting too big for their plant pants, let’s brew about it!

I’ve been wanting to create a particular mood or setting since it’s my favorite spot to write in and I wanted to extend that in my writing space. I love the idea of a sort of gothic-romantic-witchy-forgotten place, dramatic colors and wildness with a touch of softness and whimsy. For Christmas, I got the gothic, witchy and heavy metal flower seeds I wanted, and with the wisteria getting so big it was time to do the mash up of dark with romance. I felt a vintage looking pot would be just the ticket, but where to go?

Since I moved to Plant City I kept driving by this quaint garden center called BrownLee, a little house sitting back from the main road with tables of beautifully potted plants ( I can hear you saying, Nyssa that’s plants NOT pots, I know) behind an old wooden fence. I thought to myself, there could be pots there, and so, I let the mood take me and off I went. Finally, taking the turn into this little haven snuggled between rows of trees.

There were wood planters boxes, beautifully crafted wooden swings, but no pots. Unsure, of myself I walked the rows, seeing vegetables, fruits, and herbs, no pots to be had. But a gentleman came from the house, whom, happened to be Mr. BrownLee himself. Not only was he knowledgeable but very kind and helpful. Brownlee has been open in this very spot for 14 years, and sadly their lease was up there. It made me very sad to hear it, but what did cheer me up was that they were only relocating, and much closer to me(trouble for my bank account).

Although I didn’t leave with a pot I didn’t go without purchasing a plant, a blueberry in fact, after speaking with Mr. BrownLee, telling him about my current blueberry plants I found out I had 2 non germinating ones aka, mine don’t make blueberries without another type and his have both in one. So, with my new blueberry plant in my arms, I was armed with both knowledge, and a new place to come back to although in a different location but the journey is still on for a larger pot!

Jay and Silent Bob: Cruise Askew!!!!

Good evening readers! I hope the first week of 2026 was a good start to your year! Time to put our goals into action, at least I’ve been contemplating what I wanted to set out for the 2026 year. Things I talked about doing last year that I didn’t do, things I started and things I did accomplished. With that being said the Biggest event to kick off the 2026 year, is a cruise, a Jay and Silent Bob Cruise Askew to be exact, let’s brew about it!

Okay, this is a BIG leap into the new year, a cruise?! Last year was The Stanley hotel and THAT was amazing, but this cruise is a little bit different. Would it be cool to meet Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes? YES, ONE HUNDRED PRECENT!!! But the likelihood with X amount of people on board? Chances are slim but I am hopeful. The trip is from February 18th through the 22nd, a round trip to Mexico. I never been to Mexico, I’ve only been outside the U.S. to the Bahamas. I’m excited to see a different country, meet the locals, taste some of the traditional food and see the sights. The trip gives you a full day at Costa Maya, Mexico (there’s a couple excursions that take you to see Mayan Runes that looks really cool!). The boat itself has lots to get into like a photography class with Jason Lee called Snap Happy, Q & A with Kev, Diary of a Man Child with Jason Mewes, and so much more, hell you can even get a tattoo, I’m so excited to go! Here’s a link to the cruise as there’s still cabins available! https://www.jayandsilentbobcruiseaskew.com/

I’ll be posting more as the trip looms closer on what experiences I’ll partake on the boat and what excursion I’ll be getting into. While I’m gearing up for this new adventure, I’m working on something I DIDN’T accomplish last year, making videos on YouTube. I want to make BrewFeeds my livelihood FULL TIME. So, my efforts will be doubling and while I do, I want everyone along with me in this journey, so tap a friend a neighbor, or a family member, let’s grow together this year!
